Explaining the NEW Generation!

explaining the new generation teaching:.

this is for anyone who may not know yet what exactly the "new light" is on the "generation of 1914":.

god has now revealed to the governing body of jehovah's witnesses the true identity of "this generation that will not pass away until all these things occur" spoken of by jesus at matthew 24:34!.

Fortunately for me the opportunity presented itself only this morning. About 3 weeks ago I run into an Elder who seemed somewhat keen to ignore me but I put myself out to stop the car get out and have a chat. This seems to have prompted his visit this morning as he has never called on me before in 30 years.

I said come in and we sat in the living room. We talk about the assembly coming up and previous ones we'd attended. Then I mentioned the Watchtower study today and if he could explain it to me. I felt the need to help him understand what they are saying and was able to talk to him about 1975, the generation as it has been presented, and Jesus and worship, the resurrection and how he wasn't in the new covenent and didn't have a mediator as far as I could see as he rejects Christ annually.

He left in a less happy mood than when he came, I don't know if this bodes well for me. But I put it down to the appalling result of the England v USA game last night and me being in a foul mood.

No he lived with us for about another year and then found a place in a retirement home. Where he was fairly active and continued on for another 10 years. He was always sharp.

It's the point that he never accepted christianity or the JW's but this seemed to change him. He was much more open to the JW's. Sometimes my daughter has worried about if we could get the problems again or if we have them if strange things happen. NO. I know what it felt like.

I agree with you. I don't think we did. My parents had been in the "truth" about 8 years we'd had problems but not like this. Since then we have brought things at garage sales and books at book fairs and we've never had a problem. Another 42years.

thank you for your experience and yes mine was along time ago and yes i was young. We (my family) were never in a rush to pin it on "demons" but we did want it to stop. There were other things that happened at the time. Some worse than others. The "sweater/apparition" I don't know if it was the real thing or an apparition. I saw it and saw it moving and had a door open and close ahead of me. My mother heard the door and came out from the kitchen. Ect. It did stop with once the sweater had gone.

My Grandfather was not a believer and seemed to like it except for his ice cold room. He also at one point communicated with someone and thought he was rather clever when my parents were out and he descibed in detail their drive home from the field service although he didn't know where they had gone. Telling me finally that they had pulled up outside and they were at the front door. Which they were. We were at the back of the house. Lucky guess? I asked my parents where they had been and the drive home which way they had come.

At one time coming down the stairs the front door and surrounding wall disappeared and I could see clearly the front garden, the road and i distinctly remember looking at the roses that grew in the front.

We had other experiences over the months.

There are several problems with your suggestion although I would somewhat agree with you and we at the time didn't jump to the conclusion we had a problem with "demons". My Father suggested we throw out the jigsaws just in case there was any connection.

When he lowered the board in front of the opening in the fireplace he did so slowly as he didn't want the bird or whatever it was to come flying out at him but the flapping, banging on the board was still occuring as he started to lower it.

He also did take a really good look up the chimney with a flashlight and the chimney is rather narrow for a bird to vertically fly out.

We didn't have anymore problems until the middle of the autumn and even those at first we dismissed.

We realised there was a real problem when one night my father last one to bed turned out the light in the hallway before going to bed and something pushed past him and went into the kitchen. He raced up the stairs into the bedroom and my mother said she'd never seen him frightened before. He came back out to go down alittle later and when he got to the top of the stairs he could see the "apparition" about three or four steps up from the bottom of the stairs. It was headless and resembled a sweater. I had already seen it myself.

we moved in with him, then sold his house after a couple of years and brought another one.

the watchtower will be studied tomorrow that contains the new overlapping generations teaching.

paragraph 10 reads:.

"he evidently meant that the lives of the anointed who were on hand when the sign began to become evident in 1914 would overlap with the lives of other anointed ones who would see the start of the great tribulation.".

It was who they belonged too it would seem. The first experience we had come on a Sunday afternoon in the summer of 1968, I was in my bedroom getting ready reluctantly for the meeting. My Father was always running late as he had allotments (3) where he grew alot of fruit and vegetables. We were struggling economically. We'd lived in the house since 1966 with no problem.

The fireplace in the bedroom I shared with my older brother was boarded up, but I heard something banging, fluttering against the plywood panel. I was almost 10 and had no idea what it was. I got my older brother who listened and we them got my parents. We all heard it. My father said not to worry, it's a bird that has fallen down the chimney. He would remove the panel and free the poor thing. He had, had it before in his old house. It's not uncommon. I recently had a customer with the same problem. We covered the floor and beds as it would probably be sooty and my father got his tools and carefully removed the panel. All the while we heard the fluttering against the plywood panel. He slowly lowered it. The fluttering stopped and yes there was a bird. A long dead bird. A skeleton laying on a heap of soot. We didn't think much of it or at least my parents didn't say much about it. But they remembered we had some jigsaws from my fathers uncle who talked to the dead and done faith healing. So we got rid of the jigsaws. Worse was to come.
